The tech department in Simployer is a large technology environment. In the technology department, you will find people working in various disciplines such as coding, DevOps and QA. In total, we are over 100 women and men in a large age range divided into departments in Poland, Sweden, Sarpsborg and Kristiansund. We focus on delivering innovative, scalable and secure solutions.
Sales & Commercial

The main responsibilities of the Finance function are to be an internal service provider to the other functions in the Group, and to provide excellent service to all colleagues. The spread of responsibilities for Group finance covers all areas from accounting, financial and business controlling, financial reporting, compliance, strategy realization and M&A activities using modern tools.
Design & UX
Our Design and UX-team deliver an awesome design and user-experience in our products. We create and maintain the visual layer of Simployer products and services. It’s important to understand the different needs of stakeholders to make sure our customers have a great user experience across our products.

We are the ones who make Simployer’s SaaS products. Together with our product managers, we help our customers unleash the full potential of people. We are organized into many multidisciplinary product teams and each team is responsible for their product. This means that what you are involved in building, you are also involved in owning. But it also means that you get the opportunity to influence the product and what direction it should take in the future. We work according to agile principles, have high speed and roll out code to production several times a day.
To work here, it is a great advantage that you know technologies for developing modern web applications with event-driven, distributed architecture. We are a strong professional environment, and we have specialists in architecture, automation of CI/CD pipelines, backend and frontend.

Sales & commercial
Simployer has a large and professional sales organization. Our salespeople are driven by results and inspired by working with the digital HR solutions of the future. With us there are many opportunities in sales. We have salespeople who are dedicated to telemarketing, and salespeople who mostly meet the customer directly through digital platforms. It is important to have a good business understanding to work with sales in Simployer, and have in-depth knowledge of the challenges our customers often face.
Simployer has a complete HRM suite, and sells subscriptions to self-developed products and services. Our reference books and professional support within management, personnel, payroll and accounting are “best in class”, and our personnel manuals, management manuals, HSE manuals and deviation systems are market leaders. We are aimed at HR, middle managers and senior managers in both the private and public sectors.
The sales department at Simployer is divided into our product areas:
Sales Expertise: Our salespeople at Expertise contact and follow up our customers by phone and digitally between 8 and 16, as well as contact new prospects.
Sales HRM: Sales HRM covers the entire corporate market in Norway, and is divided into an SMB team and a Large Customer team. HRM mainly has customer meetings via telephone and digital platforms.
Simployer’s sales organization is always looking for new employees. Both those who have a talent for sales and who want to develop in the area or those who have extensive experience in complex sales processes and large customers.

In Simployer, our customer developers are invaluable in maintaining relationships with our existing customers. The systems are of varying size and complexity, and ensure good, professional handovers to the customers who continue to operate the solutions.

It is often a matter of large customers and comprehensive solutions, and it is our skilled employees who establish and deliver what the customer has been promised.
To work in Professional Services, you must enjoy working in teams and projects together with colleagues and customers, have an interest in HR, management and HSE as disciplines and have an interest in handling web-based solutions and challenges in everyday life.

Marketing
Marketing at Simployer wants to be like the one person in middle school who had a gum. Our task is to attract potential customers (leads as we usually call them) through branding, web, beautiful content, inbound marketing and direct marketing.
Working in marketing at Simployer is a lot of fun and can make even Gen Z look positively at life. Essentially, what we do is about creating a need in our leads (possible customers, as we don’t usually call them). There are so many ways to do this, which is why we are a wonderful mix of people with different qualities. Among other things, we are responsible for branding, content production, websites, live webinars, ads, social media, product launches and lead generation. To name a few.

To be a bit more specific, the spread of responsibilities for Group finance covers all areas from accounting, financial and business controlling, financial reporting, compliance, strategy realization and M&A activities.
The role of a financial function is in constant change. Over the last few decades, the role of the CFO team has undergone a profound shift. The historical tasks of the finance function such as books and records, financial reporting, and statutory compliance continue to be important but are now taken for granted. The finance function of today and tomorrow must be able to take financial data and use it to influence operational decision making and strategy.
Modern finance needs modern tools. New technology and automated processes have relieved finance teams of repetitive, manual tasks so the team can focus on adding value to the organization. By investing in new and modern technology combined with financial and data analysis it will guide the finance department into the digital future to integrate the financial goals with the organization’s overall business strategy. By doing this we aim to collect, organize and analyze financial data and then use it to help drive organizational improvements through process optimization, performance management, and pursuing opportunities to cut costs while increasing value.
We work towards data being real time and easily accessible. This is why self-service is so powerful, it includes every corner of the business. Access to data not only helps the finance team make better decisions, it helps all of us make better decisions. Real-time data enables immediate action, allowing Simployer to be proactive by seizing opportunities or preventing problems before they happen. Accurate and comprehensive insights bring Finance, HR, Sales and every other team into a conversation where everyone understands the goals, sees the progress, and can strategically balance people, costs and business needs.
This is also true for compliance – new tools and ways of working, enables us to have good oversight over our operations, enabling us to identify risks and mitigate them, preferably also before they become a threat, either from a security-, reputational- or legal standpoint, and with the financial risks attached.
Design & UX
Our Design and UX-team deliver an awesome design and user-experience in our products. We create and maintain the visual layer of Simployer products and services. We work in crossfunctional agile teams with colleagues based in Norway, Sweden and Poland. It’s important to understand the different needs of stakeholders to make sure our customers have a great user experience across our products. Sustainability in Simployer
Gender equality

Decent work and economic growth
We strongly believe that we can achieve more by promoting and helping start-ups and students and in this way helping society to create new job openings along with economic growth. We have begun a start-up funding collaboration with our majority owner, Ferd. Ongoing initiatives include the provision of free access to a learning library to students, Freemium solutions to companies that need our services but are unable to pay for them (primarily startup companies), school visits to share our knowledge within SaaS and HR, and an apprentice programme.
Responsible consumption and production
We seek to reduce our negative impact on the environment by reducing unnecessary travel and purchases. We have opted to cut down on the number of gifts and gadgets for our employees and customers and to make more sustainable and reusable replacements for the occasional bouquet of flowers. In addition, we are undertaking to make our offices environmentally friendly and compliant with local waste treatment regulations and cooperating with our partner Intility to recycle and refurbish our old electronic equipment.

We strongly believe that we can achieve more by working together to reach the ambitious UN goals. For our partnerships, we seek organizations and initiatives that touch on our core goals. This year we have established a partnership with the ODA network for women in tech to strive for a more diverse and inclusive workplace. With our headquarters in Sarpsborg, Norway, we believe we can make a difference to the society where we are in, and we are proud members of Sarpsborg Næringsforening and Fredrikstad Næringsforening, which are also aiming to meet several UN sustainability goals.
