Professional Services Team Lead
Lead the team that helps customers get live, faster.
At Simployer, we’re simplifying work-life for employers through modern HR tech. We’re growing across the Nordics, and Professional Services plays a key role in that growth: turning signed deals into live customers.
Now we’re looking for a Team Lead who can help us reduce time-to-value for our customers, create structure and lead a high-performing team with clarity and care. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys people, customers, and operations and who gets energy from making things work better.
We’re looking for someone who gets excited by questions like:
• How do we help customers get live faster, with confidence and quality?
• How do we build high performing teams?
Your Mission
You’ll be the first line leader of the Professional Services team and take ownership of daily operations. That means keeping overview of ongoing implementations, incoming demand, team capacity, priorities, and delivery risks. You’ll work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and the Head of Professional Services to align expectations, remove blockers, and make sure projects keep moving.
Time-to-value matters. The sooner customers are live, confident, and seeing impact from Simployer, the stronger the foundation for long-term success. Your role is to make onboarding more consistent, scalable, and efficient by improving processes, documentation, handovers, planning and delivery routines.
You’ll also lead the team day to day: running 1:1s, following up on performance and development, setting clear expectations, and creating the conditions for people to do their best work.
You'll thrive here if..
You’re structured and analytical, and can turn operational complexity into a clear plan
You enjoy leading people and helping others succeed
You take ownership, follow through, and keep overview when things get busy
You communicate clearly with customers, team members, and internal stakeholders
You’re curious about improving how teams work and how service delivery can scaleWhat you bring:
We are not big on long checklists, and if the mission resonates with you we would love to hear from you. That said, there are a couple of things you will need to succeed in this role: fluency in Norwegian and English, and a base in Oslo.
You don't need a manager title on your CV. But you do need to be ready for the responsibility and energised by the chance to grow into it.
If you've been the person others quietly turn to, the one who organises, unblocks, steadies the room you might already be a leader.
Message from the hiring manager:
Hi, I’m Jørgen, Head of Professional Services at Simployer.
Professional Services is a team I’m proud of: engaged, capable, and deeply committed to helping customers succeed.
We’ve built a strong foundation, and now the next step is to make onboarding/implementation even more scalable. I’m looking for someone who wants to lead people and take real responsibility for outcomes. Someone who can create clarity when things get busy, make good trade-offs, and help the team keep improving how we deliver.
You’ll work closely with me, Sales, Customer Success, and Product to keep delivery moving and identify where we can work smarter. For the right person, this is a great opportunity to step into leadership, influence how Professional Services scales, and help customers get value from Simployer faster.
If that sounds like the kind of role you’ve been waiting for, I’d love to hear from you.
We can't wait to meet you!

Thanks for applying! We review applications on an ongoing basis and assess them together with the hiring manager. If we think there is a match, we'll reach out to schedule a 30min talk with one of our recruiters. You'll always hear from us, whether you move forward or not - so hang tight!
-
Not at all, we review applications as quickly as we can, but we are only human and we like to give each application the attention it deserves. If it's been a while since you applied, we are probably working our way through applicants, but please feel free to reach out and we'll let you know the current status.

The Meet & Greet is a first conversation where we get to know each other better.
You’ll meet the hiring manager and someone from our People & Culture team. We’ll share more about the role, the team, and Simployer as a company, and we’ll ask some competence-based questions related to your experience.
There’s no need to prepare anything specific in advance. It can still be helpful to have a few real examples from your previous experience in mind, as we’re interested in how you’ve approached different situations and responsibilities.
Just as importantly, this is your opportunity to ask us questions, about the role, the team, our way of working, or Simployer in general. We want the conversation to feel open, relaxed, and mutual -
This is a relaxed first chat with one of our recruiters - no stress, no trick questions.
It’s meant to be a two-way conversation where you get to know us and the role a bit better, and we’ll ask a few questions to understand your background and what you’re looking for. No preparation needed. We’ll also touch on practical stuff like salary expectations and your notice period, so it’s a good idea to think about that beforehand. And yes, there’s time for your questions too!
Overall, we’ll keep it high level and fairly short. -
Definitely! If you tick some of the boxes and feel excited about the role, go for it 😊
We don’t expect anyone to match every requirement perfectly, we also value potential, curiosity, and learning mindset. And if you want to share what motivates you, a short personal letter is a great way to tell us why you think this role is made for you.
-
We always make sure you hear from us, whether you move forward in the process or not. If you’ve been through interviews or assessments, we aim to give meaningful feedback whenever possible. Please feel free to let us know what kind of feedback you are looking for, and we'll try our best to adapt to that. However, at the application stage we unfortunately aren’t able to provide detailed feedback to everyone.
